Community Service

Community Service

Community Service is undertaken on a regular basis by all members of the Sixth Form. Some students will choose to complete this in school e.g. in-class support, supervision of the library or the computer rooms, whilst others may arrange placements outside in the community in local schools, hospitals and other institutions.

Dress and Appearance

We believe that it is important for our students to maintain a smart, business-like appearance in school. We therefore expect all students in the Sixth Form to adhere to a dress code; details of which can be found in our Sixth Form Brochure.

Transport

Currently, if a student wishes to attend the designated Sixth Form for the area where he or she lives full time, the County Council will provide transport to that school on receipt of a contribution of £318 per year (31.75 per day). Students from from families reciving benefit may be entitled to a 50% reduction. An application form can be obtained by ringing 0844 800 8003 or logging onto the website: www.norfolk.gov.uk.

Sixth Form Enrichment

Sixth Form / Head's Council

Students elect representatives for the Sixth Form Council. The Sixth Form Council allows students to discuss issues and share new ideas relating to both the Sixth Form and the whole school. Two Sixth Form students are elected to join the School Council.

The Head's Council is a group of elected students who meet with the Head each week and act as a catalyst between the student body (Sixth Form) and the leadership of the school.

Transport

Cycles: There are cycle parks for students who live within cycling distance of school. Students are advised to lock their cycles as they are brought onto school premises at the owner's risk.

Motorcycles / Cars: Motorcycles / cars may be parked at the Leisure Centre by students travelling to school from outside Wymondham. Permission for this must be obtained from the Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Evans.
